Inclusive Faith
A Question of Belonging
A group of LGBTQIA+ Christians, friends, family and allies in NI have created this course. There is much we still want to do with it but we hope it helps you begin. Gather your friends, church community or homegroup and make space for discussion.

Course Overview

Welcome!

We are so pleased that you are taking this journey of exploring LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmation. This is a place for questioning, for thinking, for talking and for sharing. We have put together six short films that are all NI-specific, although they obviously have meaning beyond our shores too.
You can structure and organise this course as suits you best. The outline below is a suggested one – it takes you from personal story, to Bible study, to discussions around therapy and damage, to lived experiences from gay and straight ministers. It is rounded off with a whistle stop tour through the last 50 years of LGBTQIA+ Christian activism in NI.

Choose what you need and please feel free to explore widely around the inclusivefaith.lgbt website as well. Get your friends to come over for dinner, watch the film and chat about it afterwards using the suggested questions. Run a course at your local church. Explore it safely on your own. Any and all options are good.

Please note, some of the videos can be found in other locations of the site also. They’ve been collected here for your convenience.

You are most welcome. We hope it is useful.
