Between Worlds: A Samhain Meditation at the Standing Stones
Friday 31st October, 5:00–5:45pm
https://between-worlds-samhain.eventbrite.com
Before we called it Halloween, 31 October was known as Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that honours the threshold between light and dark, endings and beginnings.
Hidden down a narrow country lane just outside Downpatrick, Ballynoe Stone Circle is one of Ireland’s largest and most mysterious ancient sites: a wide ring of more than fifty stones that has watched countless seasons turn. It’s a place that still feels thin – where the boundaries between past and present, earth and sky, seem to blur.
On this Samhain evening, you’re invited to gather around the ancient circle at dusk to pause, breathe, and remember what endures through every season.
Nothing too formal, just an interactive guided meditation with silences, music, readings, and shared presence.
All are welcome, though space is limited, so please RSVP at this link as there are only a handful of paces left: https://between-worlds-samhain.eventbrite.com
Please dress warmly, bring a small torch, and take care on the uneven lane. Parking is very limited, so please park carefully along the road near the entrance.
(This event is weather dependent, so please keep an eye out for short-notice changes or postponements.)
