Celebrating all our trans and non binary friends today! If you’re an ally, be a loud and visible one!

Trans Day of Visibility 2026 🏳️‍⚧️
It’s a strange time for our trans & non-binary siblings. In a continuous toxic news cycle, with daily soundbites punching down, from media narratives that platform misinformation to political talking points that question rights, seek to restrict healthcare even more, and stir up nothing but hatred & division, it’s hard not to feel the weight of it.
Trans people are being talked about constantly, but not actually listened to. Rights getting chipped away, healthcare getting harder to access, access to spaces and organisations removed and harmful rhetoric on a daily basis from people in power in our very own institutions. It’s utterly exhausting.
So yeah, “visibility” can feel a bit hollow on days like this.
But trans people are still here. Still showing up. Still building community, building connections and finding joy where they can, looking after each other in a system that can often feel like is designed to see them fail.
That matters.
From the entire MEA Pride team we want to say we see you, we hear you and we love you. You’ll forever have a seat at our table.
