Delighted to be co-sponsoring this event next Wednesday 13 May at 7:30pm with First Church Belfast – the opening line of Dr Roberto Che Espinoza’s online CV says everything about why this is an event worth attending: “I have always been a reluctant leader—drawn more to collaboration than control, to weaving than commanding. In a world that often prizes certainty and hierarchy, my quiet insistence on togetherness has been a quiet revolution in itself. My life, like my theology, has emerged poco a poco—little by little—through paying attention to stories, questions, and the wisdom that emerges in the margins.” All welcome to this free event.

Dr. Roberto Che Espinoza comes to First Church Belfast on Wednesday13 May at 7:30pm.
Roberto is a Trans, Latino, theologian, author, and activist whose work sits at the intersection of liberation theology, queer theory, and somatic practice — asking what it means to practice freedom not as an individual achievement but as something that happens between people, in community, in struggle, in the body. Author of Activist Theology and Body Becoming: A Path to Our Liberation.
“Now, a Trans fugitive exiled in northern Appalachia with a Baptist ordination in hand and prophetic imagination as compass, I am seeking to live a life that stitches theology and justice into every fibre of my being.”
This event is co-sponsored by Rewilding Faith, and Christians at Pride NI.
All are welcome. 41 Rosemary Street, Belfast (in the Central Hall). Free admission.
