GET IN THE SEA
For many, faith begins with the certainty that their religion is the one true path to God.
With time, some grow in humility and admit that perhaps all religions lead to God in their own way.
But the real breakthrough comes with an even deeper realisation— that NO religion leads to God.
What we call ‘religions’ are only the accumulated, calcified deposits of a once-living faith from another time.
They can be informative, but religions no more lead to God than ships lead to the sea.
You will not be free until you see that there is no path to God—after all there can be no path to that which is omnipresent.
In this sense, God actually IS the ever-present path, the sacred way of being in this world.
Of course, religions have their place, just as ships have theirs. They can help us navigate, offering structure and support. But devotion to the vessel will only keep you from exploring the depths for yourself.
The good news is that if you want to plunge into the vast and unfathomable ocean we call “God,” you won’t need a boat at all.
What you will need – is faith.
Faith to surrender to the great waters all around.
Faith to move with their ebb and flow.
Faith to inhale deeply and fear no drowning—for this is where you have always belonged.
