Ian trained at Union Theological College in Belfast for the Ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (PCI). He served as a Presbyterian Minister for over 25 years before the decisions made by PCI from 2018 onwards caused him to make the difficult decision to leave the church, his ministry, his home and his calling. Ian and June have already promoted greater inclusion in the church and have built positive relationships with the LGBTQIA+ community, both through their Proud Parents group and June’s Wonderfully Made craft pieces which are on sale in the Another World Belfast swap shop.
