Take action now to Ban Conversion Practices!

🤩🤩🤩DEADLINE 20TH MARCH🤩🤩🤩

The Rainbow Project and Here NI have released a guide to respond to Eóin Tennyson’s Private Members’ Bill in the Assembly, which seeks to ban conversion practices and create new criminal offences for carrying out these practices.
Conversion practices aren’t a thing of the past – they’re a real issue in the here and now, with around 12% of LGBTQIA+ people in Northern Ireland having been offered so-called conversion therapy compared to 5% in the rest of the UK.
It’s vital that LGBTQIA+ communities’ views and voices are heard on this issue, along with the voices of families, friends, and allies, and that together we make this Bill as strong as possible, which is why there are a number of recommendations on how the Bill could be improved.
This is just a guide, and we would encourage you to input your own views, experiences, or thoughts on Eóin’s proposals as well. This guide was prepared by The Rainbow Project and Here NI, with support from the Ban Conversion Practices Coalition (Christians At Pride NI is part of the coalition).
