THANK YOU to everyone who came along to last night’s LGBTQ+ Advent Service

THANK YOU to everyone who came along to last night’s LGBTQ+ Advent Service.
It meant a great deal to see so many people venture out on such a cold, dark night.

A special word of thanks to Sam, Trisha and Stefan for helping to lead the worship and prayer with such care and generosity. It was a spirit filled evening, even if I’m conscious that it may have ended up a little on the wordy side.

As we look ahead, I want to repeat the invitation we offered last night. We would love to see future worship and prayer services shaped and led by others, whether by church leaders from different traditions or simply by individuals who feel called to share something of their own faith and experience. The whole idea is that this gathering belongs to the community, not to one congregation or group.

With that in mind, is there anyone who would like to lead a service in January?

If not, Stefan, Trisha and I are happy to take another turn, but we would really value some feedback about what shape you would like it to take.

We are also open to the service being hosted somewhere other than a traditional church building. Some people may find church spaces difficult or triggering, and it would be wonderful to explore venues where everyone can feel at ease joining in prayer and worship.

Thank you again for being part of this. Your presence made the night what it was.
