The Gospel message is not that you need to “get saved” by believing the correct things about God, it is that salvation is already given – whether we realise it or not.
You are already a beloved and ‘saved’ child of God – completely, objectively and forever. The only differences are the extent to which you know it, you draw upon it and you consciously believe it.
It’s not about “getting saved” so much as becoming awakened to the reality of your salvation.
This kind of awakening is so profound and all encompassing, that Jesus likened it to being “born again” – as you begin to experience reality in completely new ways.
